Next Monday, we will be studying: Durufle (Kyrie and Domine Jesu Christe), the Victoria and John IV motets, and Steven's own piece. The livestream link is: https://www.youtube.com/live/ptJFS3Pvg0Q.
Here is an extract from an email we have received from Deryck Pritchard of SARA following our workshop:
Thank you so much for inviting us to to your concert on Saturday, and for the opportunity to promote SARA to all those present. The concert really was very impressive, and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the performance. The retiring collection was very successful indeed, raising a very significant £301.13.
On behalf of all of us at SARA, please pass on our heartfelt thanks to the members of Thornbury Choral Society and your Finnish colleagues for their most generous support.
We have also received this email from Helen and Chris Hill:
Dear TCS,
This is a heartfelt thank you for your wonderful workshop day on Saturday. As two non-choir members, we were made to feel very welcome whilst exploring two works that neither of us had encountered in a combined 80 yrs of choral singing! We thoroughly enjoyed both of them, each presenting their own interesting challenges. The lunch spread and cakes were a tour de force too, if a little unhelpful for diaphragm control!
Weren’t the Finnish choir great! We would definitely go to hear them in concert if we ever got the chance. Please pass on this message if you get the chance.
